About Leaping Bunny Program
The Leaping Bunny Program is the gold standard for cruelty-free certification for brands making cosmetics/personal care products and household products. To become Leaping Bunny certified, a brand must be free of animal testing at all stages of product development. In addition, it must annually recommit to the program and be open to a third-party audit. The program is run by seven animal protection organizations in the United States and Canada and has a European partnership with Cruelty Free International. There is no cost for companies to become certified. The only optional cost is if the brand wishes to license the Leaping Bunny Logo. All certified companies are eligible to participate in its free marketing program which promotes brands their social media channels (130,000+ likes on Facebook, 50,000+ on Instagram), through the Leaping Bunny Cruelty-Free smartphone app, special holiday promotions, and more. To date, more than 1,000 companies, both large and small are a part of the Leaping Bunny Program.
